How can we think better, together?
The first open science platform for group cognition research
Current research efforts to solve global issues like AI Safety are struggling with a lack of consensus. Cortios proposes a bottom-up collective research effort, backed by open science and open source data.
The problems of our time require complex solutions, powered by innovative thinking
Share data, collaborate with other researchers, replicate experiments, and get to the core of where the science needs to be.
From individual or community research efforts to mainstream academia and industry - we can only move forward together.
We want to solve hard problems, but first we need to talk about them. What are the barriers in the way of discussion and cooperation?
From non-invasive neurostimulation to post-hoc conversation analysis with LLM's - let's figure out where to go next.
Public Release Planned
After a private beta with community, academia, and industry researchers - Cortios Connect will go live.
Cortios Connect is an open science research portal designed to help humanity pioneer a new era of understanding in the fields of collective intelligence, social neuroscience, and cooperation psychology - all of which we tag as "group cognition" research. We are creating an open-source field of science that will enable us to solve problems that previously seemed insurmountable.
On the platform, users from all backgrounds are able to upload their data. For certain types of experiments like neurostimulation, we will require safety measures and legal approval before publishing information. For other types of group cognition research, like recording a conversation with friends and analyzing its content using a language model - all we require is consent from everyone involved.
Our hope is that a centralized location to discuss how people interact will allow us to discover new ways of being with one another that enable greater social awareness around divisive issues. Right now, we see a massive problem with organizations (particularly in AI safety research) where public and internal perception are deeply misaligned - often as a result of confusion within the company itself. By generating a better understanding of how we interact with one another in reality, we might be able to have better conversations about divisive topics - perhaps even conversations that lead to solutions.
Enterprise
Cortios is backed by a team of world class researchers with backgrounds including Cognitive Science, Evolutionary Psychology, and Machine Learning. Our work is centered around figuring out how people can work together in new ways that might be what your organization needs to solve its biggest issues.
